"Christa, wo hast du eigentlich deine Praxis? Hier in Oldenburg?" Diese Frage während eines Ruder-Schnupperkurses im ORVO [1] beantwortete ich mit: "Ich habe keine Arztpraxis. Ich bin freiberufliche Wissenschaftlerin und Beraterin mit dem Schwerpunkt Sozioinformatik: Wie ticken Menschen und Computer?" - "Oh, interessant." Ja, finde ich auch.

Es gibt jetzt eine Praxis als Ärztin und Beraterin der etwas anderen Art.
Wie es dazu kam, erzählt der Blog Praxis]
Ich habe dann etwas weiter ausgeholt: dass es in meiner Arbeit um "tosaam" geht. Als Norddeutscher wusste der Fragende, dass tosaam im Pattdeutschen "zusammen" bedeutet, und im Englischen "together". Dass in der Zusammenarbeit von Menschen und im Leben überhaupt in unserer Kultur auch stets Computer und Co ein Rolle spielen. Und ich in meiner Arbeit dies mit einzelnen Menschen (Coaching) und mit Unternehmen, Behörden, Krankenhäusern, Praxen (da sind sie) und anderen Organisationen (Beratung) als "Organisationsentwicklung und Sozioinformatik" umsetze. Und als Lehrende und Schreibende. Was hat es mit diesen vier Bereichen auf sich?
Wissenschaftlerin: meine Arbeit beruht auf fundierten Erkenntnissen und ich forsche und entwickel (F&E). Die Arbeit ist nachvollziehbar für Klienten, Kollegen und Studierende (w/m/d natürlich).
Beraterin für Organisationen und einzelne Menschen (hier als Coach). Berater und Coach sind Begleiter: Zuhörende, Beobachtende und Analysierende. Berater und Coach spornen an, ermuntern und erden.
Dozentin: Menschen, die lernen wollen, Türen zu zeigen und zu öffnen. Lehrer öffnen Türen. Eintreten muss du selbst. (Chinesischer Spruch)
Autorin: Schreiben und Veröffentlichen dient der Dokumentation, der Reflexion, dem eigenen Lernen und dazu, anderen meine Arbeit in haltbarer Form in Blog und Büchern zu Verfügung stellen.
Diese vier Bereiche sind wie die Sprossen einer Taucherleiter. Ein Bereich nutzt und dient dem nächsten, einem anderen, allen. Taucherleitern haben einen Stab in der Mitte. Die Sprossen sind nach außen offen und versetzt. Also können Sie einfach mit "langen Füßen", den Flossen, aus dem Wasser an Bord steigen.
Anlass dieser Beschreibung meines Selbstverständnisses und meiner Arbeit war eine Anfrage einer Behörde, wie denn der Weidenborn Verlag funktioniere. Beantwortet habe ich die Frage in einem Eintrag des Bloggers des Verlags, Rudi Moos, am 23 Nov 2021. In "Zweck & Ziel" heißt es "Der Verlag ist ein Teil meines Portfolios als Wissenschaftlerin, Beraterin, Dozentin und Autorin."

Where is your doctor's office?
My answer to this question of a buddy during a rowing trial course at ORVO [1] was: "I don't have a doctor's office. I'm a freelance scientist and advisor with with the focus area social informatics." - "That sounds interesting." Yes, it is.

I extend my work. There is now a mobile practice as medical doctor and advisor.

I clarified it a little: my work is about "tosaam". Here in northern Germany many people know that this means "together" in Plattdeutsch. They are aware that nowadays in professional and private life computer and the like loom large. I work with single clients (as coach) and with companies, administrations, universities, schools, hospitals, associations, unions, political and other organizations. My field of work as scientist, adviser, lecturer and author is organization development with the focus area social informatics (a.k.a. socioinformatics). How?
Scientist: base of my work is profound knowledge and I perform research and development (R&D). The work is comprehensible for clients, customers and students.
Advisor (am.: counselor) for organizations and single clients. A counselor and coach is a companion: attentive listener, observer and analyst. A counselor and coach encourages, stimulates and grounds.
Lecturer: facilitator, mentor, guide. Teachers open doors. Enter you must by yourself. (Chinese saying)
Author: writing and publishing serve as documentation, for reflection and self-study plus to make my work durably available for others in the shape of blog and books.
These four ways of working are like spokes of a ladder for divers. To enable going onboard from the water with long flippers, the spokes are open to the side. It is the same with the four areas of my work. One area is of use for the next and overall for the other three.
